"Professional Training in Reflexology"

Reflexology is the study of reflex points and is an ancient, non-invasive healing art that has been practiced for over 3000 years.  It is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet that correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body.  Through the application of pressure on these reflexes, reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation and helps promote the natural function of the related areas of the body.

Reflexology is not restricted to the foot.  It can also be practiced on various parts of the body such as the hand, ear and even the face.  They are all designed to relieve stress and to bring balance back to one's body.

A Reflexology Therapist can work from home, a Spa or a clinic. Hourly rates vary according to the location of practice.

Carole Joly is a Licensed Canadian Reflexology Teacher (LCRT) and provides the following description of the different reflexology courses.

The different streams of learning

The following courses may be followed for different student objectives:

1, for personal interest during which the student is required to attend the class time only, or

2. for educational credits, for which the student is required to attend full hours of class, complete the home study work book and complete the written exam (minimum 80% mark required), or

3. for professional certification which requires the student to attend full hours of class, complete the home study work book, the written exam (with a minimum 80% mark), 50 case studies,  a 3-hour mandatory review and  a practical exam
( with a minimum 80% mark)
